Peeta, Inc.
Privacy Policy
Last updated
Voca is a product of Peeta, Inc. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the Voca website, console, APIs and AI calling services. It is specific to Voca, not the separate Peeta family-assistant application.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy covers website visitors, account holders, people who contact us, and people whose information is processed through a Voca call. Customers choose the people they contact, the information they submit and the purposes of their calls. We process customer-directed call information to deliver the service; we also handle account, security and billing information to operate Voca.
If a Voca customer called you, that customer is responsible for explaining its purpose and handling your information appropriately. You can contact that organization about the call, or contact us for assistance with a privacy concern.
2. Information we handle
The information involved depends on the features you use and what you or the customer provide.
- Account and support information: name, email address, workspace identifiers, sign-in information and support messages. Password-based accounts store a password hash rather than the password itself.
- Calling information: destination phone numbers or SIP addresses, caller numbers, instructions, supplied context, call identifiers, timing, status and interaction events.
- Conversation information: audio processed during a call, recordings where enabled, transcripts, summaries and results. These may contain information about people other than the account holder.
- Usage and billing information: call usage, prices, balance reservations, charges, adjustments, number rental records and billing inquiries.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and request information, service logs, security events and diagnostic information.
3. Google sign-in
Google sign-in is optional. It requests the openid, email and profile permissions. Google provides a stable account identifier, email address and verification status, and basic profile information such as a name and, if provided, a profile picture. Voca uses the account identifier, verified email and name to authenticate you and establish or link your Voca account.
Signing in does not grant Voca access to your Gmail, Google Drive, calendar or contacts. The login integration does not retain Google access, refresh or ID tokens. Voca retains the identity association needed for subsequent sign-ins. Revoking Google access does not by itself delete information already held in your Voca account; contact us for a deletion request.
Google sign-in information is used for authentication, account administration and security, not advertising or training general-purpose AI models. Our handling of Google user data is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.
4. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, execute customer-requested calls, process speech and generate results, make recordings and call history available, deliver configured API or webhook results, administer numbers and billing, provide support, troubleshoot problems, protect the service, investigate abuse and comply with applicable obligations.
AI processing requires sending relevant audio, instructions and conversation context to the providers involved in delivering that feature. Do not submit information that is unnecessary for the task.
6. Browser storage and security
Voca uses cookies for sign-in sessions and temporary Google sign-in security checks, and browser storage for preferences such as interface language. Blocking these mechanisms may affect sign-in or preference persistence.
We use safeguards such as encrypted network connections, authentication and access controls to protect information. Authorized operations personnel may need access for support, security or service administration. No service or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including operating the account and calling service, maintaining billing records, resolving disputes, investigating abuse and meeting applicable obligations. Retention can differ by data category and service provider; this policy does not set a single automatic deletion period for all records.
You may request account closure or deletion of personal information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and, for customer-controlled call records, coordinate with the relevant customer. Some records may need to remain for legal, accounting or security reasons, and removal from backups may take additional time.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law and our role in processing the information, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact [email protected] to make a request or raise a concern. We assess requests under applicable law and may ask for information needed to verify and locate the relevant records.
If you received a call, provide only the details needed to locate it, such as the approximate date and the numbers involved. Do not send passwords, API keys or other credentials. You may also have the right to raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
9. International processing and children
Peeta, Inc. is a United States company. Voca and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Applicable privacy protections may differ between locations.
Voca accounts are intended for adults using a calling service, not for children. Customers must not use Voca to unlawfully collect information about children. Contact [email protected] if you believe a child has provided information inappropriately so we can investigate.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a material change. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to the contact below.
